If you have always wanted to give pottery a go, would like to try it out before committing to a course, or just want to make something for your home, why not come along to a pottery workshop suitable for beginners and beyond.
This half-day workshop will introduce you to the wonderful world of clay, and give you a chance to get your hands dirty. You will be guided through the steps to hand-build an object such as a mug, candle holder, plant pot etc.
You can then decorate it yourself using techniques such as sgrafitto or sprig moulding, or choose one of my dipping glazes that I will apply after the first firing.
All materials and firing costs are included, as well as refreshments.
The course will be run from either 10am - 1pm or 2 - 5pm. Please contact me to find out about available dates, I will try to be as flexible as possible, but tend to run workshops on Saturdays or Sundays. I can take up to 6 students on the taster workshops.
When your piece is fired (which takes around 5-6 weeks) you can come and collect it or I can post it to you at cost.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
Use of clay, glazes, slips, underglazes, firing costs, tea/coffee.
