5 Week silver jewellery day school, Thursdays

Learn from an experienced jewellery designer/maker and qualified teacher.

5 week silver jewellery making course. Exclusive small class. Beautiful surroundings. Fully equipped workshop + experienced friendly tutor.

Join Teresa Crickmar for a five week jewellery course that offers everything for a beginner to learn how to make a stone set ring, hammered chain necklace and a beautiful fold-formed pendant. I offer suggestions for projects but prefer to work with each student individually to make what they want to wear or gift. The first week is used for a complete beginners session or as a catch up to remember past skills. You will learn about the basic jewellers tools, how to use them to mark, measure, cut, file, texture, form and solder work. These skills will then help you to know what is possible and you can order silver for the following weeks. You will be guided with what and where to order materials.

Teresa is a sought-after tutor. She creates a fun, relaxed atmosphere to learn in and oozes positivity. Learners join her classes a little unsure and not at all confident but quickly catch the bug with her ample-enthusiasm for jewellery making. You will gain the skills to make beautiful, professional-looking work that will receive lots of compliments.

Teresa believes the design element of making should be as important as the piece itself and so if you have ideas, or are inspired by others work please share this before you start so that she can adjust the course content. Small tailored courses give you just what you want. Teresa will give you an idea of the materials and processes needed right from the outset, before you even start making!

Her work can be seen in Primavera Gallery, Cambridge and Daryll Nantais in Linton. She shares her time between being a mother, wife, cockerpoo mummy, home maker (literally plastering and building walls!),a Reiki practitioner, adult education tutor, jeweller and her many volunteer roles in the community.

This longer course of 15 hours runs for three hours per week for five consecutive weeks with a limited class size of three.

Government guidance for managing the spread of coronavirus will be adhered to at all times to ensure your comfort and safety.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

Really made welcome. Teresa is calm and her steadiness made it easier to start work as a beginner. I felt inspired and came away from the first class bursting with ideas. She respects and nurtures creatbity in her students. A really joyful occasion.

Response from Creative Therapy Space:

Thank you so much for your kind words Chris, it was such a pleasure to meet you and I can't wait to get to know you more... ooh the stories we shall share whilst creating beautiful treasures!

I love Teresa's jewellery classes! As a newbie I wasn't sure what to expect but Teresa's calm, knowledgable and unflappable approach had me working with silver in no time. I wear the rings I made everyday and get tons of compliments on them.

I enjoyed the classes so much that I'm enrolled for another five weeks and am looking forward to working on some more advanced creations with Teresa's help and guidance.

The best thing I've done for a very long time ๐Ÿ˜Š

Response from Creative Therapy Space:

Thank you so much Allanah! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review ๐Ÿ˜Š I love teaching and what makes it even better is working with amazing people like you. I'm looking forward to bashing more metal into treasure with you. Teresa X

Love Teresa's courses, she is such a fun person to work with. She is very knowledgeable and has great patience if you don't pick it up first time.
The workshop has all the tools you could possibly need and a great environment to work in.
Yes, the current course has been postponed due to Covid, but that is just to stay safe.
Looking forward to being back in January.
I can't recommend Teresa enough!

Response from Creative Therapy Space:
