Yes, I have experience teaching children and can tailor sessions to suit a range of ages and abilities. Whether it’s a one-off creative activity or a series of lessons to build skills, I ensure sessions are engaging, age-appropriate, and fun. Parents are welcome to stay and join in if they wish.
I am also able to offer ArtsAward qualifications if you are home-schooling or looking to attain extra qualifications.
I suggest that sessions are most suited to those over 6yrs. But I am happy to discuss your needs on an individual basis.
Yes, I have extensive experience supporting children with SEND, drawing on both my teaching background and my previous work in adult education as a Student Support and Assessment Lead. I adapt sessions to meet individual needs, creating a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. My approach is flexible and creative, helping children to build confidence, explore materials at their own pace, and enjoy the process of making art. If you'd like to discuss specific needs in advance, I'm always happy to chat.
You don’t need a large studio—just a table, some chairs, and good light are usually enough for most Drawing and Painting activities. For group sessions, a dining table, conservatory, or community hall space works well (depending on the size of the group). I’m happy to advise on layout and setup when you book.
