Welcome to my online Introduction to Alcohol Inks video course. As a professional artist and tutor I know how important key art skills are. It is always exciting to find a new medium, but where do you start? This course is designed to be 'On-Demand' meaning you can dip in and out of the video course when the time suits you. The course will introduce you to Alcohol Inks through a series of 6 projects. Each project gives you the opportunity to try a new technique and develop your skills. Alcohol Inks are such an expressive medium to work with. Allowing you to create fantastic fluid images, that are fast drying and have an amazing colour palette. By creating different transparent mixes you can drop, layer and flow Alcohol Inks across your surface. The act of creating art with these inks can be very therapeutic. No mater how artistic you are, anyone can create beautiful and unexpected images with Alcohol Inks. The course is divided into 6 projects and designed for the complete beginner or those who have limited experience with Alcohol Inks. As a tutor with 20 years’ experience, I love introducing students to new techniques and mediums they can use to develop their own practice. Whether you are new to art and want to know where to start or are an experienced artist who wants to find our more about Alcohol Inks, then this course is for you. Still not sure? Do you want to work step by step from the beginning? Finding out about the equipment you need for working with Alcohol Inks and how the inks flow? Do you want to work on a series of simple paintings that build your core skills? Then yes this is for you. The course assumes you have no prior knowledge and presents each techniques as a simple to follow project. Allowing you to work through at your own pace, completing each project before you move on to the next technique. How long does the course take to complete? You can watch the videos straight away and work through them in one day if you are in a rush. But I suggest you take one project at a time, gaining the skills and techniques in each project before moving on. The course is designed to build on your core skills allowing you to find the technique you enjoy most and have a clear understanding of how Alcohol Inks behave. What you will need

You will first need to register with my website, where you will be given access to the course. You will be sent an email with login details and links. What will I need to start the course? Well to start the course you only need a means of watching each of the video lessons online. You will also need to register with my website, where you will be given access to the course. One of the first videos will explain all the equipment you need to get started with Alcohol Inks. But as a quick guide you will need; Isopropanol Alcohol, Alcohol Inks and Yupo paper. Can I get more support? Yes. Once enrolled on the course you will also have access to my Student Chatroom, with a dedicated area for you to post images of your work, interact with other members and I’ll be around to give feedback and comments. Can I let my family and friend access the course? Your log on details for online learning and digital content is for your personal use only and should not be shared. She studied Art & Design for three years in the Midlands before moving to the Sussex coast and gaining a Related Arts B.A. (Hons) Degree along with several teaching qualifications.
