"I took part in the one-day wheel course. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day; Lorraine is an excellent teacher, and the social-distancing arrangements and care for our safety were very good. It was a well-paced day, with time to try throwing, turning and decorating, all under Lorraine's expert eye. A lovely, refreshing treat; I would highly recommend it."

She was very informative and once we was shown what to do was left to have a go ourselves with Lorraine offering help and support when needed. "I attended the six week evening pottery course and have enjoyed it immensely! Over these weeks I have had the opportunity to wedge, throw and decorate/glaze a number of various items. "I had a wonderful day getting to grips with the basics of pottery, having been booked a place on the workshop as a birthday present. Lorraine was a wonderful teacher, and took us through how to throw, turn and decorate our creations. The pots came out looking amazing! I would book another workshop with Lorraine without hesitation. Having tea, coffee, and cake available to us throughout the day was a really nice touch too. Lorraine also has some of her work for sale at the studio - I couldn't resist buying a cup or two for myself! Thank you so much!"

"My sister and I attended Lorraine’s workshop yesterday and had a wonderful day. Lorraine is an excellent teacher guiding us and supporting us each step of the way. Having not done this before I was amazed at what we achieved and we’re looking forward to seeing the finished glazed pots. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and Lorraine’s Mom’s Lemon Yoghurt cake was delicious. The day was so enjoyable and great value for money."

"I attended this Pottery Workshop recently, as an absolute beginner. I had a most enjoyable day. Lorraine was so thorough in her teaching and had so much patience. I found the course very enjoyable, I managed to make 6 pots. "Lorraine is a great teacher and the pottery is set up well to accommodate a group. It doesn't matter if there are mixed abilities as Lorraine caters for each person, supporting them as needed. Her demonstrations are clear and helpful - you learn what to do but also why each step is needed and where common problems arise. I have been twice and found each workshop to be great fun, relaxing and very satisfying, starting from little experience and building up to a point where I have a collection of pots including a mug and jug that can be used daily. I would highly recommend the course. I also took my children to a free short workshop on the Hey Clay day - they were delighted to learn how to throw a pot and had two each by the end."

"I attended a beginners pottery course which I received as a fantastic gift. I had an amazing day, it was very relaxing and I found Lorraine to be welcoming, fun and an excellent teacher! I suprised myself by producing 6 pieces of pottery that are fully dishwasher and microwave proof and in my opinion give Denby a run for their money ?! I collected them after Lorraine performed an amazing glazing job on them ( hence the Denby quality..). Lorraines mother was as welcoming as Lorraine and supplied us with homemade delicious cakes to go with our cups of tea. Highly recommend this setting and I will definitely be returning."

"A fabulous one day workshop experience! Lorraine is a wonderful teacher and the class size was perfect too. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is new to the craft or has experience. My husband treated me to this workshop by buying a voucher and that as a great idea. Are you thinking about a creative friend or family member who has a birthday coming up? A perfect present for sure! And the cakes were wonderful too!"
