"My 3 friends and I attended this course on Saturday 5th August. We were all novices. We all had a brilliant day and we all managed to make 5 pots each. Lorraine is a brilliant teacher. Whenever we made a mistake Lorraine was there and she managed to rescue our disasters. We would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone interested in having a go at throwing pots."

"This was a fantastic experience! I went with my family and we all thoroughly enjoyed the course. Lorraine was a fantastic tutor and guided us through the process. She gave clear instructions and was incredibly friendly. We also got to take our pots home and hope to paint them in the next week. We just wish the session was longer :)"

"Really enjoyable day. Lorraine has a great teaching style that is relaxed yet attentive putting you at ease whilst imparting a good level, and range, of basic pot throwing skills that enabled us all to produce some very nice looking items. Her studio is clean, well equipped and had plenty of room for all of us to work comfortably. There are also facilitates to make plenty of cuppas and the cake and biscuits were lovely. Great day all round, definitely excellent value."

"Spent a very fun day learning to throw pots with Lorraine. Lorraine explains things very clearly and is on hand to help and provide tips. By the end of the day we all had 5-6 pots that we left to be fired and glazed by Lorraine (although I understand you could do another session to learn glaze). I would definitely like to go back to do another day or two. Cannot recommend it highly enough, great value. With the added bonus of homemade cake and biscuits with tea."

"What an amazing experience !!! Booked a 2 hour session for myself, a friend and her daughter. And we loved it so much that we have booked a day long course. Lorraine is such an experienced and caring instructor. She took time to talk us through all the process and kept checking and advising. She makes it all look so easy but it isn’t. Despite that we all managed to produce some acceptable pieces. It is something I would completely recommend to do."

"We loved every minute of our day at Woodsetton. Both my daughter and myself were complete novices but under Lorraine’s expert tutelage we produced pots, plenty of them! Her way of teaching is spot on - plenty of attention but without feeling that you are constantly being observed. Lorraine timed it so that she would come back at the vital moment and either talk us through what needed doing or praise our efforts. Added to that the location is lovely with a sunny garden to take a break and homemade scones with our cup of tea!! I thoroughly recommend Woodsetton for a pottery experience."
