"A thoroughly enjoyable day learn a new-to-me craft. Lorraine was a patient and knowledgeable tutor and the venue was perfect. We learned the three main techniques and made a trivet. The afternoon was spent getting ideas for other projects, choosing from a lovely selection of fabrics and deciding on the project, then getting started. A great way to spend time and can highly recommend the relaxed, informative and satisfyingly fun day we had, thank you!!"

"The time just flew by, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Elspeth gave clear instructions which were easy to follow and despite the fact that I was a beginner, thanks to her I now feel competent enough to start my first project. We were a small group, which meant it felt like individual teaching and I would recommend this workshop to anyone. The fact that it was online rather than face-to-face made no difference in quality and makes it accessible to all, regardless of their location or situation. "I took part in this course online, and was really impressed with it. It was good to have the materials etc send out, so we were all working with the same fabric - it felt much more like we were all in the same place. The pace was good - we covered several techniques and I had 3 flowers ready to finish by the end of the session. Eslpeth was a very clear and patient tutor."

"Totally recommend this course. Great dynamic on zoom. Elspeth is friendly and professional. We learnt lots together; three different techniques and time to practise and ask questions.The pack of goodies we were sent included three specialised tools and fabric samples. I started the Sunflower during the class and finished it during the following days. My technique improved and I found it very relaxing. I feel well equipped to move on to rag rug independently."

"I discovered Ragged Life by Elspeth when I was researching new crafts to try. Elspeth's YouTube videos and book inspired me to start rag rugging and I purchased tools and kits from her website. After trying some small projects, I'm ready to design pillows and rugs. In the online class, Elspeth shared a wealth of tips about choosing fabrics, colors, creating designs, transferring designs to hessian fabric, and so much more. She had great visuals and she emailed them to us after the class. The class was also small so we were free to ask her questions. I live in the U.S. and this is the only way I can take one of Elspeth's classes. Thank you for the online class!!"

These are not courses provided just for the lock-down! It's easy to see that Elspeth has been holding in person workshops for a while. I now have the confidence to have a go on my own, and Ragged Life has online tutorials newsletters and advice if we need it. Also they sell the tools and fabrics. Give it a go!"

"It was amazing to be able to learn a new craft from the comfort of my own home; no need to spend money on travel; no need to leave my small children for longer than necessary. All the tools and materials needed arrived before hand by post and we got rag rugging really quickly during the course. It is very satisfying and I am busy planning my first full rug :-). A tip; I joined by mobile phone which was fine but it was sometimes a wee bit hard to see what was going on. A tablet or laptop would have been a tiny bit easier. X"
