I'm Josephine a fibre and mixed media artist and tutor with over 20 years experience of all aspects of wet and dry (needle) felt-making
.
I have my own studio as part of an artists community in Fletchers Mill, Dean Clough in Halifax, West Yorkshire where I run a wide choice of fun, relaxing felt making and needle felting workshops using a vast colourful selection of materials.
I have been a designer then a lecturer. For several years a community artist. I have delivered and managed celebratory and public arts projects creating wall hangings, costumes, murals, lanterns, mosaics within Schools, and the wider community.
"This was such a lovely course! Josephine is a very skilled, kind and patient teacher who helped me make a picture that I am really proud of. I am so looking forward to creating more wet felt pictures at home and am confident that I know what to do! Thank you Josephine, I wholeheartedly recommend this workshop. "
"I’ve just completed a fabulous day with Jo on the wet felting course. I didn’t know what to expect and don’t consider myself creative at all. Jo explained all the processes really well and she was so supportive. And I came home with a great colourful piece of felt. So good, that I’ve booked another course with her."
Phinefibre responded:
"Thank you Carolyn for writing a lovely review, you both created a beautiful felted picture as did all the students and all very different. I love running this introduction to felting workshop. Look forward to seeing you again soon. "
"My friend and I had a great time and loved walking away with a finished piece.
Jo’s enthusiasm showed through and her clear demonstration and encouragement made our creations achievable. A lovely, relaxing and creative time."
