"I booked a morning taster with my friend Jackie, this was a first time for the both of us and we were hooked! Jack was a great teacher and had lots of patience for us newbies, he was also very subtle at making slight corrections to our pieces on the wheel so that we had some lovely pieces at the end. Can't wait to receive them soon! Thanks Jack! Hopefully we will be back again soon for a longer course!"

"Great first experience of pottery throwing. Easy to find location, great workshop and equipment. I was able to follow Jack's instruction well and he had the ability to keep an eye on everyone's work in progress as the class is limited to 6 people. Intensive day but very enjoyable!! Good lunch too! Hoping to sign up for the evening course next year."

"What a fantastic course. The studio has an amazing atmosphere and Jack's patience and teaching were above and beyond. The class was small, enabling us all to have one to one tuition when needed and I was thrilled with my finished pieces. The only downside was that the weeks went by too quickly. I looked forward to each lesson and would highly recommend it."

"I had wanted to try pottery throwing for years, and the taster session I went to exceeded my expectations! Jack is very friendly, and a great instructor, very encouraging and importantly he makes it a really fun and relaxing experience. A fantastic way to escape our busy lives and focus on something creative and very satisfying. Also the location must be mentioned - the converted barn is beautifully done, light and spacious. And the location in the beautiful South Downs makes this an experience not to be missed!"

Jack is an excellent teacher - neither of us had done any pottery since school days but we created three pots each! Can't wait to get the finished articles back. "This course exceeded all expectations from the welcome, through calm expert instructions and a gentle guiding hand to avoid disasters. A throughly professional course but one where learning, achievement and social interactions were all valued. Lunch was excellent as were the frequent breaks to avoid total fatigue! Very good value on all levels. Well done to a young but successful enterprise which I hope will continue to prosper."

"My husband and I had a wonderful lesson with Jack. The setting is spectacular and all the equipment is provided. Jack is an excellent teacher and explained everything as we went along. "We got the taster session for a friend as a birthday present and we all enjoyed it very much and had such a nice afternoon. It was a really nice, relaxed atmosphere and Jack was so helpful and managed to correct even our wobbliest pots. He managed, don't ask me how, to have an eye on all of us and make us all feel like we can master the wheel. I would definitely recommend the taster course and I'm sure if you move on the the longer courses they will be just as great."

"Lovely venue, beautiful studio and Jack is an excellent, knowledgeable and patient teacher! Two friends and I did the 2.5 hour course for my birthday and we all had an amazing time, learned a lot, and had a laugh at the same time! "Great course! I have made baskets in the past but making a willow sculpture is very different and I thoroughly enjoyed learning a new craft and producing a chicken that now has pride of place in the garden. Judith is very welcoming and a wonderful teacher. Jack sent detailed information about the course and how to find the lovely venue, and provided us with a delicious lunch (vegan option was no problem at all). I would definitely recommend it and plan to book another course with Judith in the future."

"A wonderful introduction to throwing a pot! The setting is easy to find, lots of parking and beautiful inside. It's a light and airy studio with excellent facilities. Jack has a fantastic teaching style and is obviously a very skilled potter. He took great care to explain the process and then was always on hand, with tremendous encouragement and calmness, to help when required. It is also great value for £50, with my three little pots sent on to me after firing for a small p&p fee. I really enjoyed this taster morning and would actively encourage anyone who fancies having a go to book with Jack. I only wish I lived closer, I'd join a ten week course in a flash! Bex x"
