"Highly recommend this tutorial, not only for how to make a 'cola' pen and the increased versitility it provides in your work but Liz is an excellent teacher. "The line and wash workshop was all that I hoped for and more. Liz organised a well structured day with plenty of time for experimenting. There was a wealth of information, demonstration and every implement we could wish for to try out, including the cola pen. We also had good quality paper for a realistic outcome. This was all set in the beautiful surroundings of Micklems Farm. It couldn’t have been better. For 2 beginners we both felt we had learnt so much and in a welcoming atmosphere. I think you may guess that we had a great day!"

"Liz is most welcoming, very experienced, an excellent tutor and very generous in sharing her knowledge. I had already been painting watercolours on canvas but I learned so much on the day - it was invaluable to have her guidance, input and encouragement. All materials were provided and they were excellent quality which was very much appreciated. She demonstrated, guided and encouraged step by step - it would also have been suitable for inexperienced artists as Liz tailored her approach according to the student The venue was charming and very suitable for purpose (although not suitable due to its age for anyone with severe mobility issues) in a most beautiful countryside setting. A good selection of hot drinks etc were available at all times. I travelled a long way to attend the course staying overnight nearby and I am so glad i did. Really pleased with the course and would highly recommend it and Liz and I would love to attend more of her courses in the future."

Everything had been organised to provide a perfect day in an excellent learning environment. Liz is very generous in terms of her knowledge which she has built over many years. Liz is extremely skilled and knowledgeable and shared her wealth of experience in such a way that allowed me to participate without feeling under pressure. "The course was absolutely brilliant. Liz was very welcoming and the venue was well organised and much thought and consideration had been given to making the environment relaxed, friendly and Covid safe. Liz is a brilliant artist and tutor, she was very informative and was so open about her process, techniques and tips - which she generously shared. The day was paced well and gave plenty of time to experiment and learn new techniques before applying them to a finished piece. She gave several group demonstrations throughout the day which showed each step clearly. This made the course really accessible to both beginners and more experienced artists alike. Throughout the day, Liz was on hand to give encouragement, advice and the benefit of her vast watercolour knowledge which was inspirational. I can’t praise the day highly enough and would recommend her courses. She has a great teaching style that encourages you to be free and without the constraints of lots of watercolour ‘rules’ which was so refreshing. Thank you for such a great day!"

"Another thoroughly enjoyable day with Liz Chaderton painting animals. Liz is an extremely talented artist, an excellent tutor, both patient and constantly encouraging and giving individual attention wherever needed. Her enthusiasm is so stimulating and motivating. I have struggled to paint for years and yet she has the ability to inspire me to get painting again. She demonstrates with easy to understand tips and practical guidance. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable and I would recommend her classes to anyone wanting to paint in watercolour at any level. The day just flew by."

"I really enjoyed the day yesterday and it was great to try something new with using watercolours on canvas. Liz's instructions were all very clear and delivered with great enthusiasm and knowledge. We produced two pieces of work and came home with a prepared canvas for our own project. It was interesting to see how watercolours reacted to the canvas and to work on the technique of layering. I would thoroughly recommend Liz's courses."

"This was the second time that I have spent the day at Micklems farm with Liz leading a day of art instruction. Both “painting animals in watercolour “and yesterday’s “pen and wash” were such fun. There was a huge variety of inks and pens to try out ,and later in the day ,to choose a subject and pen to paint a picture. Liz has so much talent, both in teaching and her art work is amazing. I heartily recommend her courses. They are a wonderful day of making art in an exceptional studio in an amazing venue."

"Fantastic day, didn't realize there are so many different inks or pens. Liz explained the different methods and tools to develop my line and wash pictures, then let us loose to experiment which was fun. I would say to anyone its great way to find out what method and tools suit your style or push you out of your comfort zone and help to develop your skills as an artist. I would always recommend Liz’s courses to anyone they are well planned and Liz is so helpful with any questions thrown her way. The venue was light and spacious a beautiful setting to spend a day developing my art."
