I am a printmaker and oil painter based on the beautiful Brecon Beacons. I trained at The Putney School of Art followed by The Welsh Academy of Art, where I am now a tutor. I love drawing and painting all sorts of things, people, places, animals, plants...If it lives I like to capture it's essence in a work of art.

"I went on a one day lino printing course with Lee as a total beginner and loved the whole day. Lee was well organised and the venue and materials were perfect for the activity. He gave us clear instruction in a relaxed and friendly way. I was surprised at how much could be achieved in the time available and I would definitely like to do another of Lee's courses in the future 😀"

"I thoroughly enjoyed Lee’s oil painting course and learned so much! The canvas Lee provided was luxurious, (he makes them himself) a pleasure to paint on. Lee is a brilliant teacher, has a natural ability in explaining techniques etc. I never thought I could learn so much about painting a portrait in oils in such a short time space. Another important thing for me is confidence; I arrived with no confidence in my ability as a portrait painter at all. Because of Lee’s teaching skills, I now feel confident in my ability moving forward. I found it exciting learning to paint using traditional methods. The academy itself is a lovely place to be. Seeing Lee & Lucy’s paintings on the wall was inspirational. The atmosphere was relaxed and our modals were amazing, thank you Dave and Bev. My fellow students were lovely too and I had a great week altogether. Will definitely attend courses in the future. Thank you Lee, thank you Academy, I highly recommend you. "

"Lee is a superb teacher, kind, patient and very helpful. He tailors his advice to suit the level of skill of group members, which today ranged from experienced mono-linoprinter to complete beginners and we all took home prints that we were very pleased with. It was a real pleasure to work with quality paper and professional quality cutting tools. I will definitely be back. Thank you, Lee."
