"The whole session was fantastic. I wanted to do this course because they provided the chair which just made life easier. The process was fun, well taught and I love what I made. And I love a good fish and chips lunch - supporting a local business as well. Top marks. The shop is a delight and the course is structured in a way that gives you nice rests from various tasks to have a coffee or visit the shop. I'd highly recommend it. The teaching was top class and Steph was wonderful - perfectly pitched, helpful, constructive and just lovely frankly. If you're thinking of this, go for it. So much fun!"

"Great course, numbers are kept small so there is enough support for everyone. Instructions are given in easy steps to follow and Steph is always happy to answers questions. Oh and wonderful cake!"

"This was a really fun course. Steph is brilliant at demonstrating how to do things and has great little hints and tips along the way too. The group size was just right, giving enough space to get around the footstool whilst also having a lively group atmosphere. I'm so pleased with the end product, it looks a lot more professional than I expected, which is definitely down to Steph's direction! I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to have a go at doing something crafty, you don't need to have any previous experience."

"Spent a lovely Saturday afternoon on this workshop. Everything was provided (except material) that you need to make the stool. Steph explained thoroughly every stage and if at any time you were stuck Steph was there to put you back on track. The workshop was attended by five students giving it a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I am really pleased with the end result so much so I feel confident that I could go ahead a make another stool. I would certainly recommend this workshop."

"Had the most fabulous day learning how to renovate a chair, painting the frame in any colour you like from the Annie Sloan collection, and then completely re-upholstering the seat pad. Add to that the gorgeous cake and fish and chip lunch! I learnt so much and I can’t wait to use my new skills, I can’t thank you enough. "Steph gave us a great time. the course was well prepared with everything we needed to complete the project at hand - paints , tools etc . I learnt a lot and increased my confidence to carry with other projects that I had in mind. Steph had loads of patience and the calmness throughout the day made it a relaxing time out. "Had a smashing day. There were only a few of us as it clashed with the Royal Wedding, but it was a real treat as well as an opportunity to learn a new skill. "A great course to go on! I really enjoyed my morning. I had no idea about Annie Sloan chalk paint and its versatility but now understand it so much better. "Great day. Nice welcome, delicious tea, coffee, cake and plenty of water. We stripped the seat right back to the frame and were taught to start from scratch with webbing all the way to calico and then the final material. Also did 2 coats if ASCP on chairs and then waxing techniques. All in all, a very thorough day. Only slight criticism- we could have done it in a slightly shorter time, but perhaps due to letting paint dry sufficiently...? Thank you to Steph. Best teacher out there!"

"We had an amazing day, I went with my daughter and sister-in-law and we all came away with fabulous chairs. It was great fun selecting the paint and material to bring your chair back to life. Steph was brilliant; her explanations and guidance were clear and uncomplicated. She was always at hand to give a little bit of extra advice if needed. I can't believe how much we achieved in a day. The fish and chip lunch was superb and along with the tea and cakes, we felt extremely well looked after. All of us thought it was a fantastic day and I'm sure we'll be back to do another workshop."
