Maker's bio

Over the past 14 years I have explored enamelling through experimentation. After first being introduced to it by my mum, who packed me off to Nottinghamshire with a kiln and a box of enamel powders. I then became mainly self taught through embracing the freedom of the kiln. I’ve expanded on that first box of enamel powders, and now bring in many techniques to my pieces and my teaching.

"I had a wonderful time at the half day workshop with Katie. She was a great teacher and explained the process really well. The small group ensured we were all able to get advice when needed and had our own space with all the equipment necessary. We all made 3 or 4 items to take home and I found it very addictive. I have booked a taster session including enamelling in December and would love to do another workshop soon."

"Myself and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed our half day enamelling with Katie yesterday. Being complete novices, we were carefully and effectively guided through a truly creative experience and we both come away with 2 pieces we designed and made ourselves!
