Ged first got into green woodworking through renovating his house and garden. He built his own bespoke kitchen from wood and taught himself as he went. He enjoyed it so much he decided he'd like to teach others how to craft beautiful items from natural resources.
Ged's interests include hill walking, bird watching, yoga, conservation, environmental issues and northern soul. He's a very calm and encouraging teacher and an all round great human being!
"Absolutely loved my intro to green woodworking with Ged yesterday. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in his open air (covered) workshop, surrounded by all things wood😊. Ged is a patient teacher, lets you try everything for yourself but always on hand for advice and help. I would highly recommend this course to anyone considering it, whether just as a one off enjoyable day or if you want to take your wood working further."
Gedwood responded:
"Glad you enjoyed the experience Hilary, and thankyou for your encouraging words 😊👍

"Thoroughly enjoyed my day making a three legged stool. GED was clear with his instruction and very helpful. Would recommend but some physical strength is required for this day. "
Gedwood responded:
"Glad you enjoyed the day Dorothy. Enjoy using your stool
Ged 😊"
"I had an enjoyable weekend making a shave horse. It was quite physical but satisfying and Ged was patient and helpful.
Now I have to think what I want to make using it"
Gedwood responded:
"Glad you enjoyed the course Jenny. Good luck on your shave horse shaving ventures!😊"
"A five star experience for sure. My teenage friend and I had a fantastic day. An unhurried rhythmic pace resulted in two beautiful stools using top notch hand tools under the expert eye and tutelage of Ged in a very special setting! Just waiting for the stools to be dry enough to sand so we can enjoy using our handiwork."
Gedwood responded:
"Thanks Anne. Glad you enjoyed the day😊"
