Helen, Tina & Sally reviewed: Craft Workshop: Learn to make silver art clay jewellery in a day (beginner)

"We all Really enjoyed the day, Sally was an excellent teacher and broke the stages of silver clay down to make it achievable for complete beginners. She gave us confidence in our own abilities and was generous with her knowledge and time . We were really pleased with what we produced . Very happy and would definitely recommend and would love to do it again."

Sarah Palmer reviewed: Craft Workshop: Learn to make silver art clay jewellery in a day (beginner)

"I had a fantastic and informative day with lots of knowledge imparted by Sally. You really don’t get this kind of experience by watching YouTube or starting by yourself with a kit. Sally is a great teacher, friendly and full of tips that you only gain through years of experience. She is really encouraging and I wouldn’t hesitate in registering for another course with her."

"This is a brilliant course - I had the best day crafting and enjoyed every minute. Sally was very informative and helpful and encouraged me every step of the way - she has so much patience and is so knowledgeable about her crafts and very skilled. I came away with a lovely piece of art and fully intend to take up this mindfulness and relaxing craft. Thank you Sally for introducing me to Mandala Dot Painting."

Tessa Morrison reviewed: Needle felting - woodland creature or bird, or other small animal: (beginners+)

"My friend and I did Sally’s beginner needle felting course on Saturday, we both had such a fantastic day, it was so worth the 1.5 hour drive each way! My friend made a Robin and I did a blue tit. I don’t have an artistic bone in my body but quite quick I could see the shape emerging from a bit of fluffy wool! It’s very relaxing and we had a good laugh. Sally was such a warm and giving lady, really made the experience so great. X"

Patricia Eyre reviewed: Craft Workshop: Learn to make silver art clay jewellery in a day (beginner)

"What a fantastic workshop and tutor! I came into the workshop as a complete beginner and left with a huge sense of accomplishment and a gorgeous keepsake. Sally provided clear explanations of each part of the process along with clear warning of how things could go wrong if not followed (nothing did!) I am so pleased I chose to attend Sally's face to face workshop rather than struggling on my own with books or YouTube videos! I can't wait to start another piece?"

"We had a brilliant mother and daughter craft day with Sally. We wanted to spend so time together doing something creative and chanced on Sally's course. It was a fun-filled day producing a beautiful Christmas decoration. She explained every step well and was there with advice and encouragement along the way. I advise everyone to give this a go."

Dagmara Ginter reviewed: Outside Workshop: Get started with DSLR creative photography(Beginners level)

"Thank you, Sally, for the brilliant workshop! I've learnt loads and gained confidence in shooting in aperture priority mode. The workshop was organised really well - lots of theory to take in but with enough time to practise. And even the weather behaved itself."

Gill Farley reviewed: One day introduction to stained glass for complete beginners (copper foil method)

"I attended this course on 8/11/21 ( I did leave a review but unfortunately it did not process, so this is the second attempt). I had an absolutely fabulous day ( thought there was going to be more than me) but I had Sally's undivided attention on a one to one basis. Sally is such a knowledgeable & patient person, which is what I need as I can be slow to pick things up. I made a lovely standing angel (have had so many positive comments from friend) & am now in the process of turning part of my greenhouse into a workshop to make some more as Christmas presents. Thank you again Sally & looking forward to more courses in the New Year Gill x"

Jacky reviewed: Introduction to glass fusion Morning half day taster (beginners)

"Sally is really good at giving you support where it's needed and leaving you to get on if you're doing ok. I knew nothing about glass fusion and was really nervous. Sally built on my love of the sea and guided me to what was possible. I've worked with glass in the past but Sally gave me more confidence than anyone else. Thoroughly recommend her as a tutor. Thanks Sally."

Craft Workshops responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review Jacky - I am so pleased your confidence grew in the workshop (and your fused glass pieces are lovely!). I look forward seeing you again in the workshop."

Susan Burton reviewed: Get started with Dot Painting - relaxed, friendly sessions

"I enjoyed a fabulous day learning how to do Mandala Dot painting. Sally is a great teacher and I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn a new skill. It was a very relaxing day with superb teaching and coaching. I came home with lovely piece dot work. I didn't get to finish within the session, but Sally gave me paints so that I could continue at home. I am really happy with what I achieved. It was quite a meditative experience. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend not only this course but the tutor as well, she is outstanding!"

Prue Curtis reviewed: One day introduction to stained glass for complete beginners (copper foil method)

"Another wonderful day with Sally, this time making a dragonfly with the copper foil stained glass method. There were 2 of us in the class which really helped give us both individual attention during the day so that we were able to complete each stage of the process with time and excellent tuition. This was my first attempt at the copper foil method and although there are several complex processes I was able to focus on each step without feeling hurried, and thoroughly enjoyed each step and am so proud of what I managed to achieve. So thank you, Sally, for your infinite patience, excellent teaching, and for such a fun, happy and successful day."

Craft Workshops responded:

"Thank you for coming to the workshop again Prue - a delight to see you as always. I'm very pleased you enjoyed the stained glass day and your dragonfly is wonderful! Look forward to seeing you again in the workshop soon :)"

Liz wilson reviewed: One day introduction to stained glass for complete beginners (copper foil method)

"Once again a great class with Sally. Having never cut glass or soldered before I did wonder what I might achieve. But I was not disappointed. Sally kept us on track re time and was as friendly, knowledgeable and helpful as always. With a small group (of 2) we had heaps of 1-1 support and I managed to make a Robin! And much to my amazement it really looked like a Robin!? Just brilliant ?? I thoroughly enjoyed the day and unreservedly recommend Sally’s courses. Next course I will be ‘dot painting’ (Mandela) which looks very calming and mindful. Again never painted anything since school but I have confidence in Sally’s teaching and Can’t wait to give it a go, great ‘me time’ ?"

Craft Workshops responded:

"You worked so hard on the stained glass Liz - and I was really pleased the robin was amazing and much appreciated too. Looking forward to a more chilled day of dotting paint soon - and hopefully some more glass work in the future too :)"

Sam Emptage reviewed: One day introduction to stained glass for complete beginners (copper foil method)

"The best craft workshop I've done to date!! The small class size was definitely a plus point when I booked and better than that, it was one to one when I got there. We got stuck in straight away with step by step instructions from Sally. She broke it all down into stages and explained everything very well. I made 2 Christmas decorations which I'm really pleased with. Sally also very kindly took extra time to show me more of how to do one stage I was particularly interested in. I would thoroughly recommend this course and am looking forward to doing more of Sally's courses in the future."

Craft Workshops responded:

"Thank you Sam - that's really fab! So pleased you enjoyed the day in the Workshop and that you got lots of help and encouragement where you needed it so you took home two very good finished pieces of stained glass decoration. You are a natural with a soldering iron that's for sure! Look forward to seeing you again soon :)"

Deb Heath reviewed: Introduction to glass fusion Morning half day taster (beginners)

"I really enjoyed our fused glass workshop with Sally. The three hours flew by! Sally's method of teaching us the basics and how to use the tools certainly gave me inspiration and confidence for my starter session. I was particularly impressed with it being a very small (3) class as this allowed Sally more time to help and guide each one of us. I was so absorbed creating my two pieces that I didn't stop for a coffee break! Sally has now inspired me to book an introductory class in stained glass sometime soon : )"

Craft Workshops responded:

"Thank you Deb - it was great to meet you and pleased you enjoyed the workshop. Look forward to seeing you again soon!"

"This is a fabulous course. As a total beginner at this craft, with the lovely Sally’s help and guidance, I left at the end of the day with an amazing piece of stained glass which I’m thrilled with and proud of. Sally is a superb tutor and shared her skills and knowledge and was on hand to help, assist and advise throughout the course - I even managed to use a soldering iron for the first time ever! I was so impressed with Sally’s support and encouragement during every step of the process and appreciated the strict health & safety regime that Sally insisted on to keep me safe during the course."

Hilary Ann Holt reviewed: One day introduction to stained glass for complete beginners (copper foil method)

"I attended the course - an Introduction to stained glass for complete beginners (copper foil method) and very successfully made a beautiful gnome. I was a complete beginner. Sally was extremely attentive and I felt very guided by her throughout the day. Many of the skills needed to make the stained glass gnome were very intricate and as the group was small, Sally was always on-hand to help. We had a very enjoyable time and left Sally's workshop feeling very proud."

Craft Workshops responded:

"Thank you Hilary - we did have a lovely day and your stained glass was amazing! From total beginner to completed gnome decoration in a day - well done :)"
