"I had a wonderful day learning how to successfully ecoprint after many failed attempts at home! We worked solidly through the day trying out different ways to create a variety of effects on fabric and paper. I am extremely proud of my printed linen lampshade. "Fiona is an excellent teacher. Her workshop was excellently prepped and structured. The one-day workshop was packed full of practical eco-printing exercises. And ended with a fully printed scarf. We all felt that we had attended a weeklong course! We learned so much. Fiona has given me the tools to progress further. Overall it was a fun and very satisfying day."

"Loved this course. I am not a very talented person at practical things but Olly was super-encouraging and also patient when I wasn’t quite sure what I was doing. You get hands on really quickly and learn to use a range of tools effectively and safely. Very well-designed activities, as you practise the hardest part on a separate piece of wood rather than the one you are carving. I can’t believe I made something that was so much better than I imagined possible. Can’t wait to continue practicing all that I learned and extend the same skills to other carving projects."

"I hadn't done any painting since my school days (a long time ago!) and was pretty terrified but Janet walked everything through with such patience and encouragement I was able to get over my insecurities and paint a picture I was proud of! Everyone in the class I was in, had different insecurities but by the end everyone had painted a beautiful picture and felt confident that they could continue to grow! Her experience in painting flowers 'in the flesh' is well demonstrated and she knows how to bring out the delightful characters of every species; even the most tricky of characters! Her techniques for composition are genius!"

"I did a lino taster day with Sue at Cambridge Art Makers. I am slightly biased about the space as I work here!!! But I thought Sue's teaching was fantastic. She was very informative and although I have tried lino in the past I felt like it was the first time I really 'got it' and the infinite possibilities that the medium has to offer. I can't wait for this longer course to explore the process further."
