Richard Harry reviewed: Mig Welding For Beginners Introductory Day Course.

"Had a brilliant day doing the introduction to Mig welding course with Tony. Having never done welding before I didn’t know quite what to expect, but Tony went through all the safety aspects first, explained the machine/tools, did a quick welding demo and then over to me for the rest of the day! I tackled a whole range of different types of welding angles and different steel configurations. Tony is an excellent instructor he is an ex college instructor and also work in the welding and fabrication industry for thirty years which shows. I came away having had my expectations exceeded having had a thoroughly enjoyable day learning a skill that I intend to keep working on. I caught the welding bug! I don’t think you will be disappointed doing this course."

Newport Wrought Ironwork responded:

"Hi Richard, I am so happy you enjoyed the welding course. With the new skill you learned on the course and more practice you will be creating all sorts of different things. If you require any further assistance please feel free to contact me. Regards Tony "

Claire Trevelyan reviewed: 1 Day Bring Your Own Upholstery Project - Lewes

"Having done the 3 day course, I spent another day with Lucy furthering the progress on my chair. She is an exceptional teacher tailoring her tuition to meet the needs of individual students and always with good humour and plenty of analogies to help understand the process. She is also very generous with her time. I learnt so much and am delighted with what I have achieved with my project. I would highly recommend Lucy's courses."

Hayley reviewed: Copper Foil Technique Stained Glass

"My mum and I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop with Amanda. She guided us through each step of the process and we had lots of opportunities to practise techniques before starting on our actual designs. There were lots of tools and resources to use and Amanda’s teaching was clear and easy to follow. We had contacted Amanda beforehand asking if we could work on specific designs. Amanda was really accommodating and planned and prepped before our workshop to help us to achieve the outcomes that we wanted. Thank you Amanda - we really appreciate the work that you put into our workshop. We both loved the day, including the veggie lunch, and learned new skills that resulted in a wonderful piece of glass art to take home at the end of the day. Thank you Amanda - what a fab workshop!"

Greig O’Brien reviewed: Woodturning tuition in Wiltshire

"The day exceeded my expectations on all accounts. Hospitality from Andy, Mary and Angus (the dog) was great and I can’t imagine there’s anything regarding wood turning that Andy doesn’t know. Great examples of. Some amazing projects that have been done and it’s a very inspiring and down to earth workshop and atmosphere. Great delivery of his wealth of knowledge and whilst Andy was on hand for everything, he also gave space to try things without pressure etc. I shall definitely be booking again to further develop the interest I have and learn more. Highly recommend!"
