Willow Animal Sculpture Day with Sarah Le Breton

Willow Animal Sculpture day, Coates English Willow, Somerset

Make a willow animal sculpture of your choice. Whilst learning sculpting techniques you will create a 3D interpretation of your chosen animal. It's great to come along with an idea of the animal you would like to create.

Experienced tutor Sarah Le Breton will teach you sculpting techniques and how to maintain your finished creations, enabling your work to add charm to your home or garden for years to come.

All my Willow Basket & Animal Sculpture Days are suitable for beginners and for those with existing willow weaving experience. Just bring along lots of enthusiasm and by the end of the day you will be taking home your chosen basket or willow animal!

These willow sculpture days are taught at Coates English Willow, situated at the heart of this country's willow growing industry on the beautiful Somerset Levels (TA3 6HY). Coates has been growing willow in the Somerset Levels since 1819. There is an onsite willow retail shop, museum, craft shops, deli, cafe and sculpture walk.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

Price includes refreshments and cake, all materials and a tour of Coates. Lunch is available at an additional cost at the adjacent Lemon Tree Coffee House. There is a maximum of 8 participants per day. Sculpture days are held in the indoor classroom.

All tools are provided, but you are more than welcome to bring along your favourite pair of secateurs and gardening gloves. Please also bring an apron or wear clothing that you wouldn’t mind getting a little mucky!

A truly amazing course at an excellent venue. Sarah is very enthusiastic about her craft and strikes exactly the right balance between instruction and allowing students to try things for themselves. I came away inspired (but exhausted) and the proud owner of a willow lantern!

Response from Sarah Le Breton Willow:

Thank you Kate for your lovely review. So glad that you really enjoyed our Willow Sculpture Day together. It was brilliant teaching you and I absolutely loved seeing all the beautiful flower lanterns being created, Sarah X.
