About the Course

Willow animal sculpture at the Trading Places Craft Barn at Stanwick Lakes. Please get in touch to go on the mailing list for future dates, as soon as they are available.

The theme for this course will be to make a 2 foot (ish) high willow animal. Choose from a Hare, an Egret, a Heron, a Goose or a Sheep. The course will cover the techniques required and all the tools and materials are supplied including the wire frame. The tutor for the day is local willow weaver and artist Sue Kirk. Sue will also cover how to care for your sculpture so that it can take pride of place in your garden over Easter or all year round.

The course will take place in the Craft Barn at Stanwick Lakes. There are 10 places available so please book early as Sue's sculpture courses do sell out very quickly. Car parking for the 2 days is free and there is a cafe in the visitors centre for lunch if you don't want to bring a pack up. Please wear comfy clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. The course will start at 9.30am and finish between 4.00 and 4.30pm each day. Please arrive a few minutes early so that the course can start promptly.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
