This two-day welding course will introduce you to the three main welding processes MIG Welding, MMA (Arc) Welding and TIG Welding. You will learn the basic skills needed to weld with each process and apply these skills to weld together a chair of your own. The fabrication skills you will learn on this course are perfect for any DIY enthusiast, aspiring furniture maker or someone interested in giving welding a go for the first time. Day one: of this weekend welding course will introduce you to the three main welding processes and you will learn the basic skills needed to weld metal with each process. The day will focus on skills practise and look at basic metal joinery techniques that are used when making furniture from metal. Day two: will involve learning about the skills needed to make your own metal chair. You will learn about the use of handtools for marking out, workshop machinery for cutting metal to size and the power tools needed for preparing metal ready for welding. Using technical drawings and tutor guidance you will create the your own chair and weld it all together. Using angle grinders you will tidy up the joinery and finish the chair. This course is perfect for beginners and past course attendees as you can learn a new welding process such as TIG Welding and apply that to making a larger product. By the end of this two day welding course you will be familiar with different welding processes and fabrication techniques required to build metal furniture. This will enable you to take full advantage of our book a bench hire scheme. Giving you the confidence to complete your own projects. All materials and equipment required for this course are included in the price.
