Course suits: Those who have gained some experience in drawing from still life and now wish to move to painting.

Objectives: To explore and develop the fundamentals of drawing and painting.

Level: Some experience with drawing - we shall be painting from life.

Materials needed: Please bring a canvas, all other materials included.

Course description:

While you may have gained important experience of drawing from a plaster cast, figure or portrait model it is equally important to have an opportunity to focus on paint handling, tonal values and colour-mixing
Still life painting is a very effective way to explore and develop the fundamentals of drawing and painting.
In this workshop we explore the composition and relationship of objects, colour and proportion. ​
