About the Course

Learn how to make a multi-section hard-backed book without complicated or expensive equipment.

This workshop will take you through the different stages involved including folding, sewing and binding pages to make up a book block. You will also learn to make a hard cover for your book using book-cloth and explore a variety of style options you could use. By the end of the day you will leave with a finished book and lots of ideas to use for your own projects.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or for those who need a refresher.

Although I am new to the area I found The Old Printing Works easily. Marion provided a warm welcome and her tuition was easy to understand and follow. The group was well sized so that Marion could offer individual support for those that needed it and she kept the group moving along at a good pace so that we all went away with a complete creation.
