Description
Yotsume Toji is a traditional, decorative, Japanese 4-hole book binding technique. In this class you’ll make your own hard covers, then bind your pages together in a simple yet elegant way to make a beautiful handmade book with a unique binding, using traditional techniques and hand tools. You could make a photo album, journal, sketch book, anything you like! It will be a one-of-a-kind book that will be treasured for years to come. Suitable for complete beginners, you will be guided through every step by Wendy, owner of The Little Craftery, and life-long crafter. Over-16s only, unless previously agreed by The Little Craftery (please contact us to discuss). Class times vary, please contact us to check the start time of your chosen date. What's included in the price?
All materials and refreshments are included. You'll make one book, either A4 or A5 (you can choose on the day). A small selection of cover papers will be available on the day, however you may choose to bring your own (you'll be sent details when you book). You'll also be given templates and instructions to take away, so you can make more at home.
