About the Course

Would you like to learn how to make a door wreath for Christmas? A skill that you can put to good use every year? I teach you how to make them from scratch, providing all the necessary materials, and of course plenty of refreshments too.
I have two styles to choose from. 1) The traditional door wreath, made from a wire and moss base, adorned with mixed foliage and fruits and crowned with a sumptuous ribbon of your choice. 2) The complete bio-degradable door wreath, with not a wire or plastic material in sight. Fully compostable so after Christmas it can go straight onto the compost heap.
These classes are a lot of fun and will certainly get you in the festive mood. There will be a log fire roaring, mulled wine to sip and of course mince pies to keep us happy. Each session is two hours long and this will be jam packed with information and practical skills. Whatever your style, be it traditional or contemporary, there will be something for everyone.
Classes will be held at my studio in Folkestone, where there will also be the chance to browse Christmas decorations, flowers, and textile gifts, as well as see what other workshops are on offer here.

Spent a lovely afternoon making my Christmas wreath with great guidance from Marie. I now have it hanging on my door and it looks far more beautiful than I imagined anything I could make would be! Mince pies and mulled wine, along with Christmassy music playing in the background, just added to the festive feeling.
