Paper Wildflower Weekend (2 days) in the Peak District
Description
Discover a world of papercraft, inspired by British wildflowers. Using simple materials and inventive techniques, create your own bunch of exquisite botanical blooms. Paper Botanist, Ling Warlow, will share her detailed knowledge, leading you step-by-step. Petals and leaves are individually cut and shaped, flower heads are carefully assembled using wire, wax tape and glue. Day one will focus on poppies and cornflowers, exploring a range of techniques for capturing two very different flower forms. On day two we turn our attention to a real showstopper, the foxglove, forming stately stems that can be displayed in a vase on their own or as a posy with the poppy and cornflower. Open to both beginners and those with experience. Paper flower making is a wonderfully absorbing craft, mindful and relaxing - and very addictive! You will never look at a flower in the same way again. Tutor: Ling Warlow As a paper artist specialising in flowers, Ling is inspired by the beauty and resilience of nature.
