Course Start DatesSunday 29th March 2020
About the Course
With hands-on guidance from local artist Lucy Wayman, you will create your very own 'one of a kind' macramé plant hanger within this 3 hour beginner-level workshop.
You will learn the basic principles and techniques of macramé, and will build your confidence making small keyring designs. Using 100% cotton rope and a selection of coloured twines, you will then create your hand-crafted plant hanger.
The class size is kept small so that Lucy can give you all the support you need, and a helpful instruction manual will be provided to guide you through your project.
Please note that The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a first-floor space and unfortunately we do not have lift access. Please inform us of any skin or food allergies when booking.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
The price includes all materials, plus welcome refreshments and nibbles are also provided. Plants and pots will be available to purchase separately should you wish to take home an instant indoor garden! And if you're inspired to continue using your new-found macramé skills at home, spools of 100% cotton rope will also be available to buy.
Had a fantastic evening in this taster workshop. It was a great opportunity to try out the skills with loads of support.
Lucy was very friendly and approachable allowing you to get the most out of the time. This was a small workshop so plenty of capacity for one on one support.
Definitely something I’d try again and maybe even try out the wall hanging session next!

Response from The Arienas Collective:Hi Heather
I really enjoyed my evening with Nichole learning Macrame and was delighted with my finished wall hanging. Nichole was so patient with all of us as we repeatedly asked how to do a certain knot again! Loved the ambient environment with relaxing music and meeting new people. Would definitely recommend.

Response from The Arienas Collective:Hello Suzanne. Thanks for your lovely review. Nichole is a great teacher and very patient with all of us as we try to master the basic knots. Your plant holder looked amazing, and features in some of our online photos and video! (Thanks for giving us permission to use them.) Hope it's got pride of place in your home - send us a photo of it hanging up if you've time. Best wishes, Lynn x
