Learn a new art skill & make your own Christmas cards! A creative kit suitable for a complete beginner or somebody who tried this relaxing arts activity in the past and wants to revisit! Recommend age 11 upwards due to sharp tools. Super easy to get results, easy to understand, learn with my written instructions or videos on youtube. How does it work? - choose a design from the 9 provided (or sketch out your own) - with a pencil, copy over the main outline & detail onto tracing paper by placing it over your image - place this tracing paper onto the lino sheet, pencil marks face down, rub with you thumb nail or reverse of a spoon, the pencil lines transfer super easily! - use this transfer sketch as a map telling you where to cut away the lino sheet with your cutting tool set - enjoy carving - pick an ink colour or blend your own by mixing the water based inks - use the spatula provided to add a butter bean size blob onto the white ink tray - roll this out to a patch, covering your roller then roller this ink directly onto your lino sheet evenly - either place the white card over the inky lino, or feeling confident you can carefully pick up the inky lino and place it down onto the card - either method, rub the reverse side of card/or lino to ensure ink is transferred - peel back and reveal your print, Hey Presto! Repeat the inking and stamping for each card, 10 here included in the kit. - allow to dry full for a few days

Clever Hands is a small business & Art Studio based in Liverpool UK run by Artist Catherine Carmyllie. When the pandemic hit, creative classes at the studio had to pause. Catherine began sending out arts materials by post so that her students could continue being creative at home. Since then the business has grown and has 3 learning options: purchase a kit online, visit the studio in person or watch the video tutorials free online, learning at your own pace. Catherine also exhibits & sells her own artwork.
