I bought this for my Partner for a Christmas present and we both attended the course in February.
The surroundings are lovely, peaceful and inspirational, we worked in an outside hand made workshop, which had an aga to keep us warm, with lots of windows to provide wonderful light.
Steve talked us through the process and time was given to practice using the various cutters and then we were let loose to make our own. Phil and I had brought ideas on what we wanted to do and I must say this is a good idea, Phil took most of his time to create a fabulous Grey Heron which everyone seemed to love, I wanted to make Zebra prints which was less complicated and I was able to try two designs. Tea and Coffee and biscuits are provided regularly which is lovely.
A great 6 hours which were both creative and relaxing, definitely recommend if you fancy a go at this craft.
I really enjoyed this course. The venue is set in beautiful surroundings and Stephen is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic tutor. I learned a lot and have gained confidence to continue developing my skills at home. Thank you.
This is a wonderful day class for novices, under the expert and patient guidance of Stephen. The studio, in a beautiful rural setting, seems itself to encourage creativity, and there are many examples of Stephen's work all around to add inspiration. An added bonus is the warm hospitality of Stephen and his wife. I hope to be able to go to his card making class later in the year.
It was an excellent day and I am very pleased that your prints turned out so well!
Really enjoyable day learning the basics of lino cutting and printing. The atmosphere was relaxed and we were made very welcome. As well as making prints from our own designs I was really inspired by Stephen’s own work hanging in the studio. Would highly recommend this course!
It was lovely to meet you and to help you to produce some very impressive prints
I truly enjoyed the course. It is perfect for beginners like me, as plenty of advice and support is given. Stephen and his wife have been great hosts and the atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. Highly recommended!
