About the Course

This all day course takes you through the main skills needed to design and make simple leather items. We'll start with a belt or dog collar - cutting out leather, preparing the strap, practise tooling and stamping then design and decorate and staining the belt before making it up. The second part of the day will be spent designing a small bag or purse which we'll prepare and decorate before stitching, staining and finishing.

This is a chance to learn an exciting new skill! Many of our students have gone on to make specific projects with or without our help and some have started up in business, selling their products. You can take it further with additional classes and project sessions. See our website for details.

We work as a small class in an informal setting in our class area within our equestrian shop. We have kitchen and toilet facilities and will provide coffee, tea and biscuits then a light lunch. Please let us know of any special dietary requirements or allergies.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

Lunch, light refreshments, leather, use of tools and equipment and tuition are included in the price.
