Tote bag course. Come and join us in historic Hebden Bridge, our town and very beautiful workshop venue, for a day of tote bag making. Join us for a day and make yourself - or the adventurous creative in your life - a unique tote bag. Made using soft, flexible, British leather in a selection of colours and finishes. Suitable for beginners or the more experienced, work with beautiful supple leather, covering a range of techniques and skills, with tools and materials provided. Skills include cutting to pattern, riveting, hand stitching, and punch marking. Working in a small, friendly group with lots of individual attention and supervised individually by Catherine, this inspiring, one-day workshop is a great way to introduce yourself to working with leather. Enjoy a productive and stimulating class for yourself. Create a unique gift to take away. Gift vouchers available for workshops and products. Catherine Edwards trained as a boot and shoemaker, working for many years before a residency at the royal armouries, which led to the production of her first collection of unique leather goods. Afternoon tea is included in the price, as are all materials, making it an enjoyable event day for friends or family to do together in the historic setting of Saltaire.
