About the Course
Unleash all your creative potential (and that of your knitting machine too!), with this advanced knitting machine class. You’ll learn beading, cables, shaping and much more.
In this class, you’ll:
-Learn various techniques including holding/short row knitting, cables, beading, ribbing and lace carriage
-Holding & Short Row Knitting: Here, you’ll learn how to use the holding buttons on the knitting carriage to develop three-dimensional knit structures, volume, shapes and techniques in your work. You’ll experiment with various yarns, colours and structures.
-Cables: You’ll learn to use a double or triple prong transfer tool to cross stitches for cables.
-Shaping: You’ll learn how to use the single and double transfer tool to increase and decrease stitches to create shaping.
-Lace carriage: Practice using the lace carriage to transfer stitches onto needles for lace punchcard patterns
-Beading: You’ll learn how to add beads into your work on the knitting machine using a latch tool. Become confident with combining beading with cables or other techniques to create beaded knitted fabrics.
