This is a private, one to one course. We can work at your pace, you can ask as many questions as you like or you can bring your own project to work on whilst under the watchful eye of the tutor.
What you will learn:
Note that this session is more in-depth than the bite sized one hour online session. within the 3 hrs you will be taken through how to draw your designs using DesignsKnit 8/9 software/graph paper & also learn other techniques using the intarsia carriage not covered in the one hour course.
Learn to use this underused but simple carriage on your domestic knitting machine. Claire will take you through how to set up your intarsia carriage, right through to finished design & how to sew your ends in to give a truly professional look.
In the lesson you will learn how to set up your machine so you are able to produce your own beautiful & stunning designs via the intarsia method.
You will be able to follow an intarsia chart with confidence.
You will also learn how to set up your yarns & calculate how many balls of yarn you will need for your design.
Finally, you will learn some simple embroidery techniques to enhance your design.
You will come away from the session with all the knowledge you need for intarsia knitting, as well having the confidence to produce your very own intarsia knitting for future projects.
