Join us for a hands-on one-day blacksmithing experience, where you'll learn the fundamentals of this traditional craft in a fully equipped forge, located inside Portland Works: a 145 year cutlery works in the heart of Sheffield. No prior experience is needed—just enthusiasm and a willingness to get hands-on with fire and metal. Lunch and drinks will be provided (please let us know of any dietary requirements).

What's included in the price?

- Safety first – A full safety briefing and the use of all necessary PPE (provided). - Learn essential blacksmithing techniques, including heating, forging, forming, and finishing of steel. - You will also get hands on with the power hammer as part of the course. - Make your own piece – Our projects will allow you to combine a number of techniques and you will leave with a piece as a memento of your hard work!
