About the Course
A two day course where you will learn the basics of splitting and shaping greenwood to make a range of kitchen utensils including rolling pins, spurtles (stick for stirring your porridge!), spatulas and chopping boards. Using various tools including knives and small axes, this highly rewarding greenwood craft is suitable for complete novices and those with experience.
Useful and beautiful kitchen utensils must be supremely functional, hygienic and fit comfortably in the hand. What better way to ensure all three criteria than to make your own.
The course introduces students to greenwood craft and the basic skill required to make and take away a range of items which may include a rolling pin, spurtle, spatulas and a chopping board.
This course covers:

Great course. I learnt a wide range of skills which I am keen to take further. Already made my own shave horse and looking at acquiring more tools. Dave and the team are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Covered a wide range of things and already looking forward to booking on the next one. I can't recommend the Ecclesall Woods Craft Courses highly enough and would suggest anybody looking for an introduction to Greenwood skills or to enhance those they already have, to look for a suitable course and get it booked.
