About the Course

The day will begin with a couple of demonstrations to give you ideas for flower painting and to show you techniques to use with Inks.
There will be plenty of images of flowers to choose from , to use as inspiration.
Sue will work with each of you individually to give you tips and help as your paintings progress.

About the Artist
Sue has taught watercolour and ink painting for 38 years , at Residential summer schools, through Adult Education and privately. She has written several articles about painting flowers with Acrylic Inks for The Artist and Paint Magazines.
In the past she has exhibited with The Society of Botanical Painters . She occasionally exhibits at The Mall Galleries , London.
In 2013 Sue won The SAA Artist of The Year Competition

Old Bank Studios offers a wide range of art, craft and textile courses and work-shops. Based in a glorious Edwardian banking hall, our fully equipped studios provide ideal spaces where students can work in a relaxed, ambient atmosphere. Located in the heart of Old Harwich, we are just a few yards from the Electric Palace Cinema.

Harwich Town Railway Station is less than a five minute walk away, with hourly trains to Manningtree, where there are mainline connections to Colchester, Chelmsford, London, Ipswich and Norwich. If you are coming by car, there is normally plenty of on road parking, otherwise there is a public car park a one minute walk away. It is always possible to drop off right at our front doors.

Watercolour Brushes. Not your best sables ! Cheap Taklon brushes are ideal. About Size 12 , 6, 2
Large plastic palette with wells to hold Inks and large mixing area
Don’t wear your best clothes!
