At this Crochet Next Steps workshop we will cover some new stitches, new Granny Squares, and how to understand patterns and charts. We will be covering some of the steps together and then everyone can work at their own pace. At this workshop you can learn: - to read a pattern and follow a chart - learn crochet abbreviations, stitch symbols, US to UK stitches - a magic ring - more stitches including Corner to Corner (C2C), Puff Stitch, V Stitch, and how to work a round into a square

What's included in the price?

£45 per person, including yarn, tea & coffee. Please bring lunch, crochet hooks (we will have a small selection of hooks available) and glasses if you wear them.

Crafting in the Cotswolds – what’s not to love? Lechlade Craft Barn offers craft workshops in the pretty Cotswolds market town of Lechlade on Thames. The Craft Barn is an attractive old stone barn at Karen's home and is the perfect setting to discover and develop your crafting skills. Owner Karen has a long-held passion for crafting, with backgrounds in retail and event management. Along with her workshops, she is joined by a talented team of guest tutors who offer a wide range of craft workshops. The barn is accessed via external stone steps with handrails on either side and unfortunately may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Some workshops are delivered nearby in the bright and spacious Memorial Hall complex and other local venues. In addition to published workshops, we also offer bespoke Crafty Parties for Hens, groups of friends and family, special occasions, or any excuse to have a crafty day.

"Hi I really enjoyed this course and Kelly was an excellent tutor. However, we were short of time in the afternoon so I felt the stitching process was rushed (for me, anyway) and I came away feeling a bit confused. We could have done with at least an extra hour to the published time. If we had had more time for the stitching and perhaps a handout with illustrations of the process stages I think I would have come away feeling more confident I could do it again. As it was I felt it was all easy to start with and then the bit that was the most complicated went in a blur. That was a shame as that was the bit I had most wanted to learn."
