About the Course

Learn the ancient art of Shibori using indigo! Spend two and a half hours learning how to create beautiful, stylish patterns. This workshop is perfect for the inexperienced and we will cover various folding, tying and clamping Shibori techniques.

In this workshop we will concentrate on folded, tied and clamped resists to create beautiful patterns on cotton and you will leave with a variety of fabric examples. As well as the opportunity to dye your own cotton tote bag and tea towel which will be supplied.

Workshop includes-

*One cotton long handled tote bag
*One cotton tea towel
*Fabric samples to practice your patterns
*All dye stuff will be provided
*Use of all resist materials and equipment.
*Rubber gloves
*You are also welcome to bring one small item to dye eg tshirt. Please do not bring bedsheets etc. (item must be washed and 100% Natural fibres eg cotton or linen)
*Light refreshments.
