Description

A very straight forward day for you to practice and enhance your stitching skills. We have the most beautiful vibrant fabric that we will be building onto with voiles and stitching over, creating textures, enhancing shapes and creating surfaces. All you need to bring is a sewing machine with a freemotion quilting/embroidery/darning foot, threads and a basic sewing kit, kebab stick and tweezers! Suitable for all competent sew-ers though experience at freemotion/ freehand work is not essential. Image to follow.... 10 - 4pm Materials are included, though you are welcome to bring other fabrics to use if you wish

"Back again! This time to make a toile. I am making a jacket which I have put off for years after having some doubts about my abilities. Here was the opportunity to really learn a few new things. However, a great deal of time and patience was required of the tutor. I certainly got that in spades. Anyway, I've been guided along and now feel yes, I think this is actually going to work out. I will definitely be back if only to get help with the pockets!"

"A really good positive experience. Working alone has its difficulties when worried about the actual pattern, what sort of interfacing is needed, where to alter the darts, will this material suit the pattern, body shape etc. These queries can be answered here as you go along, so you can correct, alter and complete without throwing the garment in the corner! Plus, lets face it, its nice to have confirmation of 'so I was right then?' Wow! I have booked another course. "
