Explore different mediums, learn about great artists and develop your techniques. All in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment.
11th September - Artist Paul Cezanne: Still life drawing. Measuring and comparing. Light and shade. Using oil pastels.
18th September - Joan Miro: Brush skills and brush control. Freehand lettering. Graffiti lettering and free expression painting.
2nd October - Edgar Degas: Depth and perspective. Sculpture. Clay sculptures, pinch pots and coil pots.
9th October - Alberto Giacometti: Human body. Movement. Wire and plaster bandage sculptures.
16th October - Claude Monet: Golden Ratio. Design in thirds. Landscapes. Using acrylics with palette knife.
6th November - Barbara Hepworth: Sculpture using wood and found objects. Plaster carving.
13th November - Andrew Goldsworthy: Environmental art. Creating temporary art outside. Foil brooches (to warm up after being outside) using found objects.
20th November - Henry Matisse: Collage. Printing. Monoprints and foam printing.
4th December - Paul Klee: Simple colour theory. Abstract creations using limited palette and strong colours. Looking at Klee's playful style.
11th December - Salvador Dali: Surrealism and the absurd. Using a choice of materials/mediums to create surreal artwork.
18th December - Wintertime: Looking at artworks which depict Winter. Using various techniques and mediums to create winter/holiday artworks, cards and gifts.
