Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:
Dear Nicola,I attended the "Field with red poppies" wool painting interactive online course. It was such a friendly, relaxed day. Raya was so patient and explained everything so well, I was delighted at how well the wool painting turned out. It was thanks to the great kit & excellent demonstrations by Ray. I would thoroughly recommend trying this technique and I will be looking at other courses with Raya to build on my new skills.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:
Dear Linda,I really enjoyed taking part in my first wool painting course to create a poppy wool painting. Raya was a very enthusiastic and positive teacher encouraging and allowing us to use our creativity to create very individual wool paintings rather than just a copy of her work. The pace was suited to the beginner level and she explained everything very clearly. There were plenty of materials provided in our kits and although Raya taught us on zoom (as it was lockdown) I felt as supported as if she was with us. I would recommend this course to anyone who likes working with natural materials and wants to create a painting using a medium other than paint.
This course was brilliant! I still can't believe what fabulous pictures we each created. Raya was a super tutor, really kind and encouraging and she made the session both relaxing and fun. I'm so glad I signed up - it felt like a real treat and was completely absorbing. I strongly recommend it. Thank you so much, Raya!

She took us through each stage step by step so it was really easy to follow along. I was so pleased with my painting at the end and everyone's work looked fantastic because of Raya's brilliant teaching. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Dear Jo,I bought this online Zoom course for my Mum who is 89. She was worried that she may not manage to follow all the instructions but Raya demonstrated everything so clearly and in such a patient manner that my Mum soon relaxed and enjoyed the course. She made a lovely wool painting and we are just looking for a space on her wall to give it pride of place. Thankyou Raya, what a lovely, friendly atmosphere you create amongst your online students.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:
Dear Sandy,Excellent course with plenty of support and opportunities to ask questions. Time to work on the pictures and suggestions of how to improve aspects as necessary. I would highly recommend this course and will definitely attend another.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:
Dear Joanne,I spent a wonderful few hours learning a new skill, chatting to other enthusiasts and to make it better I ended up making a wool painting picture I am proud of. I am not a natural artist but Raya made the process very easy with her gentle demonstrations and oodles of patience. I think I may have found my new favourite art format.
Will definitely keep in touch with Raya and take some more classes with this medium and then will hopefully courageous enough to have a go on my own.
I haven't felt so relaxed and positive about things for a long time, so thank you very much.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:
Dear Helen,Wonderful craft session that eased the boredom of lockdown by 4 hours. Raya is a super teacher and it was great to meet other students all over the U.K. I enjoyed learning the basic skills of painting with wool with helpful feedback from Raya. I loved my finished picture and will be booking another session with Raya soon.

Dear Catherine,I had a brilliant time with Raya attending her online interactive Poppy Field Course. My husband purchased the course for my birthday. Raya has an amazing technique to create pictures using merino wool. I have never heard of this method of making a landscape picture but I was amazed the detail you can get using the vibrant merino wool colours. Raya created a lovely relaxing workshop and with the other people attending we all had a great time. I would definately recommend this course as a person new to the craft world I was proud to leave the online workshop with Poppy Field landscape picture I created. Thank you Raya....
Great course with a really talented teacher who is extremely clever at getting the best from her students. I took this course and fell in love with a therapeutic wool painting technique. Now I booked a place on the online Sunset wool painting . I really look forward to develop my skills further with Raya Brown. I would recommend this course to everyone.
Thank you for the workshop on Saturday, I really enjoyed it and it was something to look forward amidst the doom and gloom. It brightened my day immensely.
What a wonderful day we had! Raya patiently introduced us to this new technique, and we were each able to create a variant of Raya's model. She encouraged us to be creative and to personalise our poppy pictures. I had learned lots of strategies and look forward to creating other pictures. We had the unexpected experience of being taught by Raya from a flat in St Petersburg over the internet, and there were no connection issues - amazing. It would be nice to be able to attend her workshop in Worcestershire some day.

Dear Alwin,Myself, my daughter and a friend did this online workshop back in the summer. What a fabulous 4 hours spent learning a new craft. To actually come away with a picture I would happily hang on the wall was amazing. The expert tuition provided by Raya was great. Nothing was too much trouble. Can’t recommend this enough.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:
Dear Julie,I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say thank you so much for your virtual Poppy Field wool painting tuition yesterday.
I can safely say this therapeutic workshop was very much enjoyed and I believe the ladies, not least of all me, were very impressed by what they could craft. The age range was 86 years old to 10 years old and I have received really positive feedback about your delivery; you were enthusiastic, didn’t rush, warm and engaging – so it’s a big thank you from Blesma Outreach NI.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:
Dear Fiona,I have recently attended Raya's interactive online wool painting course. I always wanted to learn wool painting but never had a chance to come over to Raya's studio as I live far away. I am so glad that Raya offered me the chance to learn this exciting wool fibre art and craft over zoom. I experienced other techniques working with wool but this new way of using wool fibres became very interesting and enjoyable. I really liked the therapeutic experience of playing with different natural fibres creating some images and textures. Raya was very helpful and encouraging. She also sent me the wool painting kit with all the tools and materials so that I did not need to search for various things for the course. I love my finished wool picture very much. I can recommend this course to anyone!
I thought the course was great with brilliant bright colours and a picture that I can give to my mum for her birthday next week. Raya has a way of putting people at ease and giving me the confidence I lacked before the course. I would certainly recommend the course to anyone who wants to try and create a picture with wool fibres.
I enjoyed the online Art and Craft Zoom course with Raya so much that I have recommended my wife and sister to attend the next course. I have not done art for years but with Ray's expertise I got up to speed quickly. I will be keeping an eye on any other courses she may have be running in the near future.
I thought the course was great and I could work from home. I have never used Zoom before and Raya made it easy for me. I would definitely attend another Art and Craft course with Raya and I would recommend it to my family and friends.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:
Dear Neil,I was a little unsure about doing interactive art online as I have never done this before. Raya was brilliant as she explained everything so simple to me as if I was at her workshop in her art and craft studio. I thought initially I wouldn't enjoy this online experience as I'm a very much a people person and love being with other people in a workshop environment where we can have a joke and get to know each other. Doing an online Zoom course was surprisingly a great experience as I have met new friends and with Raya's easy to follow instructions I can still do the art I love.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:
Hi Des,I cannot believe how far I have come in just a few weeks. Raya Brown not only is a brilliant tutor she is a talented Artist in her own right. I feel really lucky in coming across this fabulous studio!
