An introduction to abstract sculpture: one day

We do have alternative dates available on request. If you have a date you would like to request please use the 'chat with the maker' button and we will get back to you asap to confirm and make the date available for you.

During this course we will explore the creation of abstract sculpture starting with the development of ideas, shapes and forms, then we will use some composite sculpture material to transfer your ideas from a sketch to a 3 dimensional work.

This material is rigid but very easily worked with rasps and reduction paper so you'll quite quickly gain confidence in working with it.

You don't need any prior experience in sculpture or a background in art to enjoy this course, I'll take you through all aspects of the creative process.

At the end of the day you'll have a piece of work to take away but we will also have discussed how to take your original to the next stage which will be moulding and casting to pre-produce it in a hard wearing material.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

All materials for the standard course will be supplied including a block of material approx 60cm x 30cm x 30cm ( if you think you might need a larger block then contact me before the course date to discuss your requirements.)
