'Mokume Gane' is a Japanese term which refers to layering metals to achieve a wood grain effect. We will explore the technique by combining thin sheets of your favourite colours into a clay stack. We will then impress an intricate pattern and, using finely cut layers, create a set of 3D disc beads. Once cured, we will sand and string them to make a stunning, statement necklace and matching earrings.
Bead Weaving is a fascinatingly addictive subject and your design will be driven by the beads and colours that you love. Using simple stitches, the emphasis is on the texture the beads create. Polymer Clay allows you to create your own beads and jewellery entirely from scratch. Suitable for beginners.
