Polymer Clay Jewellery

Description

A great opportunity to make a beautiful set of jewellery using polymer clay to imitate semi-precious stones which will be mounted into bezel settings as pendants and earrings in a choice of different coloured base metals. Alternatively you can make decorative beads which can be strung onto silk cord to make a necklace or bracelet. You will learn about conditioning the clay, mixing colours and creating various veneers using different techniques and curing the clay in the oven. The cabochons can then be finished with non-toxic resin and a UV light. The beads will be finished off with silk cord and a lobster clasp. There will be plenty of demos throughout the day with lots of time for students to experiment with the various techniques. Individual attention will be given to the students with advice on colour and design considerations. All materials and equipment will be provided with plenty of reference material for inspiration. What you learn on this wonderful workshop can easily be carried out at home with a minimal outlay on equipment. Please bring: A packed lunch

Terms - Fee is payable on booking. If, having booked, you can no longer attend, we are unable to offer a refund or transfer you to another workshop. However, you may nominate someone else to attend the workshop or class in your place by notifying us. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date.
