Brilliant day! Sarah is a first class teacher and we learned so much. She guided and advised us so that we were able to produce some very presentable pieces. Thank you.
Sarah was very welcoming, accessible and professional at the Glass fusion with Enamels and Powders workshop. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and came away feeling I had learned so much and accomplished something. She met us at the level we were at, then encouraged us throughout to be creative on our own yet giving us assistance whenever we asked for it. The group was small enough to easily chat with each other and share ideas. Great fun. May 2022
Response from Sarah Brown Glass:
Thank you Jenny! Lovely to have you. I really enjoy what I do and I'm glad I was able to share it with you.I've already recommended this course to more friends today, because it was fantastic!
I went with three of my girl friends on Saturday to do a beginners glass fusing day with Sarah. Sarah showed us lots of different techniques in the morning and we had plenty of time to play and ask questions about the process. In the afternoon, we were able to use our new found skills to create four coasters or a larger piece to fit inside a frame.
I always enjoy learning from someone with a professional attitude and I wasn't disappointed. Sarah is a great teacher and a highly skilled glass artist. The class was interesting, inspiring, fun and all four of us learnt so much and are keen to go back to try another one of Sarah's courses.
I'd thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who's keen to learn glass fusing!
Loved it..Sarah has a very relaxed teaching style..nothing in the studio is off limits. Enjoyed learning techniques and met some lovely people. Have booked on to a further course! And she makes cake!
Really enjoying this course. Something I haven't tried before and would like to continue. Sarah explains and demonstrates everything very well and helps us all to achieve more than we expect to.
I did the glass breaking and painting class with Sarah, and it was absolutely brilliant! Sarah was so lovely and really took the time to teach us all the skills we needed and helped us if we were struggling. There was no limit on what materials we used, and Sarah was happy to answer all our questions, support us and give us examples of things to make! Will definitely be back to try another workshop!
Having seen Sarah's work at a craft fair in Tewkesbury, I expressed an interest in the glass fusing workshop to my wife and this turned into my birthday present that year.
Having no experience of working with glass I was a little apprehensive but Sarah made me feel welcome [I was also the only man in the group] and very soon we were all working together and practicing our newly discovered rudimentary glass working skills.
Sarah found time to spend with us all and by the end of the day [we overran by an hour but that didn't seem to matter], we had all produced excellent pieces of glass art work.
This workshop is a great introduction to using glass as an art medium and I would strongly recommend you taking the plunge and signing up.
We had a great time learning lots of different techniques - I’m looking forward to moving on to the intermediate stage and trying different projects.
Sarah is ever patient with us and we have a really good time. The frustration is not doing excellent work first time. This is due to our poor skills and lack of experience, and unrealistic expectations! Sarah taught us techniques over a 4 week period. We then chose one or more of those for our final piece for the last 2 weeks. All of these skills are useful and will be used in the intermediate classes I have now chosen to do.
And she makes the best homemade biscuits ever!!
What a lovely day. Made very welcome. Easy to follow instructions from a patient teacher, Sarah and I now have four wonderful coasters. Would I recommend the day? I certainly would...
Had a fantastic day with friends, created some lovely pieces with limited artistic talent! Sarah gave just the right level of support and guidance throughout the day and the cake was great too!
Sarah is a wonderful teacher, patient, kind and genuine.
My Mum and had a bespoke class whilst we were visiting the area on a trip away, Sarah fitted us in and gave us plenty of time and encouragement to make items of our choice, showing the techniques to achieve the desired effect.
Tea and home made biscuits were an added bonus :)
As my work needed two firings Sarah even went the extra mile to personally hand deliver my work to me when passing the area, turning up on my doorstep with a smile.
Many thanks Sarah x
We had a wonderful day making festive glass with Sarah - penguins, puddings, reindeer, wreaths and snowy scenes! Sarah is lovely and her homemade cakes are delicious. We will definitely be attending more classes with her.
Sarah is a great teacher and is so helpful in getting you to bring out the best of your talents however meagre they are. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. I have learnt a lot still I started her class and will continue to enjoy the wonders of glass.
I really enjoyed the Reindeer, Penguins and puddings course. Sarah is a fantastic teacher and explained the technique really well. The class had a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and the evening was great fun. I would definitely recommend the classes at Sarah's studio and hope to return myself for another class soon.
My glass fusing course was a well-hinted-at birthday present and it was a great day out. Only a small group of us which meant that the day was full of good hints and loads of opportunities for Sarah to help those of us who needed more support!!! She was patient, friendly and passionate about what she does.
I would recommend this to anyone. Enjoy !!
An excellent course and a wonderful day! Sarah's kind, knowledgable, supportive and very creative. I was able to work independantly whilst still guided by Sarah. Would definately recommend!

Excellent course for us because we wanted to learn more about the Glassline pens. Taught the basic skills like cutting glass which is always useful to become confident in it. Very educational and a great day.
Having just completed a beginners glass fusion course with Sarah I can't wait to move onto the intermediate course. Sarah is an excellent tutor and happy to share her expertise Classes are relaxed with all participants able to work at their own pace and level. Projects are varied and interesting with the opportunity to try numerous techniques. Kiln carving was enjoyed by us all and used in our final pieces. If you have any interest in trying glass fusion I would certainly recommend you contact Sarah Brown. Thank you Sarah for an enjoyable six weeks, your homemade biscuits were a bonus!
Along with my husband & 14 yr old daughter we attended Sarah's beginners glass fusion workshop. With 6 in the class there was a great deal of 1:1 support, clear guidance on what to do & how, lots of creative input and Sarah was able to adapt to individuals requirements. We made a mixture of test pieces to learn different methods, coasters & a wall hanging & were all really pleased with our efforts.
Lovely brownies were a tasty reward at lunchtime! A really different way to spend a day.
