"Thanks very much for your help in taking me from a nervous beginner to feeling able to attempt my own design for a pair of silver earrings in the afternoon. You may have helped banish the left over fears from metalwork lessons at school. Never thought I’d be filing, soldering and polishing! Despite coming on my own and joining three other ladies for the class the small individualised setting makes it a nice learning environment. The day zoomed by as you get so engrossed in what you’re doing and learning. I’m quite proud of my creations even if they aren’t quite perfect! "

"I joined 3 other beginners having fun while learning a number of techniques including bending, cutting, shaping, adding patterns, soldering and polishing. Had a break with tea and cake in the morning and further refreshments in the afternoon with a BYO lunch in between. Jonathon was very instructive (and patient!). Very pleased with my copper keyring, necklace and silver ring. "

"I'd highly recommend the one day beginner course with Jonathan for anyone that has an interest in jewellery making. There are a maximum of 4 participants which means that everyone has lots of opportunity to ask questions and get one-to-one help. I did the course with my 13 year old daughter and we both really enjoyed it as well as learnt a huge amount. Everyone was given their own work station and set of tools so there was no waiting around/queuing for equipment. In the morning Jonathan taught us a number of different techniques using copper. In the afternoon we were supported in creating silver jewellery from our own designs or from examples that Jonathan showed us. We both came away with some lovely pieces of jewellery and a new interest/hobby."

"We did this workshop as a mother and daughter Christmas treat. We had an amazing day and Jonathan was patient and friendly explaining the processes. We practiced with copper in the morning and Jonathan was very encouraging so we felt confident to make silver bracelets and stacking rings. The cost of the silver was very reasonable. Really enjoyable day and we will look to attend another workshop. "

"Nice course for beginner. Jonathan explained everything really well. Items are straightforward to make after instruction. Nice environment for learning. We used copper to practice in the morning before moving to silver in the afternoon. You pay for the silver you use however you come with a lovely hand made item. Lovely coffee and cake too. Would recommend this course. "

There were four of us in the class, my daughter, myself and two other lovely ladies and we were all delighted with our makes - we all made bangles. "Superb day. Excellent and experienced tutor. All skills presented in a calm, professional way, and we were made very aware of health and safety issues. I was delighted with what I achieved in a day. "My sister and I had a fabulous day with Jonathan learning how to make silver jewellery. Jonathan was a great teacher and taught us the basic skills we would need in the morning using copper. In the afternoon we moved onto creating our silver piece. Jonathan gave great advice and encouragement with our designs and ideas so we both came away with a piece of jewellery we loved. Would highly recommend the course to anyone and Jonathan provided excellent cake and tea as well. "
