Hi. My name is Jonathan Kettle. I love to teach people how to make their own silver jewellery! I run evening classes, 1:1 sessions, weekday classes and a very popular beginners class - the cake, coffee and cosy studio are important, but my main aim is for you to enjoy to the experience, and for you to leave at the end of the day with your own handmade silver jewellery piece. "A very enjoyable day with sound teaching to an absolute novice. Very encouraging and helpful tutor who provided home-made cake (his own!) and enabled me to produce a beautiful silver bangle that I have been wearing all day - and received admiring comments."

"I can highly recommend Jonathan’s beginners course at Salt Way Silver, my friends and I really enjoyed the session. Jonathan was very patient and explained all of the jewellery making processes very clearly. We spent time making a practice piece in copper to cover all the techniques we might need and then went on to make a piece of our choice in silver using everything we’d learned in the previous couple of hours. We were all delighted to be able to produce something we wanted to wear at the end! Crafting with friends is a great way to spend a Saturday morning!"

"I recently completed the 8 week evening class ... wow, just wow! Jonathan is the most amazingly patient and knowledgeable tutor, and I can honestly say this course totally exceeded any prior expectations I had ♥️ I urge anyone who wants to build on any previous jewellery making experience, or just wants to do something different, or out of their comfort zone to sign up, you really won't be disappointed!! Safe to say, I will be first in the queue for an extending skills course, should one be offered in the future 😉 Thank you Jonathan, an absolute legend 😀"
