I live in Lewes, and have been running a furniture and textile business making simply designed contemporary pieces. One of those pieces, the birch wood footstool is an especial delight to make, it is simple, useful, light & beautiful. With none of the corners that so frustrate upholstery newcomers, I thought it made the perfect 1 day workshop experience. For after a ‘hard’ day learning, making, laughing, creating you get to take home and put your feet up on a foostool, and say “That was Rounded by Me’.

"What a great day course. You work hard but the final product is lovely. Food and company was the icing on the cake. Lucy is a fantastic intuitive tutor. She has tried to think about environmental impacts of all the elements she uses which is so important. I’d definitely recommend this course to anyone who fancies having a go. Something beautiful and useful to take home at the end of the day. "

"I thoroughly enjoyed making the pinboard, I had no idea how many layers were involved! I'm really pleased with the result, it looks like I've bought it from a shop. The course was fun, the group was friendly and the teacher worked with each of us at our own pace. I would highly recommend it!"
