"My friend and I had an enjoyable experience with Jan. She took us through the techniques and safety aspects of the day. She modelled some possible designs and then let us make our own pieces. She was on hand to advise us, when needed and provided extra materials to enhance our designs. We had a very calm and enjoyable day and have produced pieces we feel proud of. We are looking forward to seeing how they look when fired."

"This is a fantastic course that I'd recommend to any beginner. Jan has a vast wealth of experience and skill, and is the perfect teacher. After a very useful demonstration we had enough knowledge to start on our own pieces - with Jan there to help and guide as much or as little as we wanted. I'm going back to work further in Jan's studio, confident that I'll learn lots more and develop my own skills quickly under her expert tuition."

"I had a great day with Jan. She is passionate about her craft and passes on great advice to a beginner. We were shown all the basic techniques to get us started on our own projects with help and suggestions to fire (no pun intended :-)) our imaginations. Jan allow us the use all her materials (which are considerable) so that we could experiment as well as making something beautiful. I would thoroughly recommend this course."

"I enjoyed the class and learned/achieved what I wanted. I love what I made and also did a recce at Reading Stained Glass a week later. Sadly I also discovered the processes and some of the materials were very harsh on my hands; probably should have worn disposable gloves and/or used barrier cream. I am really looking forward to doing the glass painting course."

"What a fantastic 2 days we have had with Jan and Alison. The course was amazing! We learnt how to make a stained glass window, from learning how to use the tools, choosing and cutting our glass, cutting our lead, soldering and onto cementing and polishing. The finished pieces were beautiful we are both vey proud! Thank you to Jan and Alison for your wonderful tuition and patience! Cannot recommend this studio highly enough but beware it's addictive!! Glass fusing next for us!!"

"An absolutely fantastic course, Jan and Alison are both welcoming and very knowledgeable on the subject, making for an informative and enjoyable day. Plenty of theory, advice on tools and techniques, and enough time to get very 'hands on' with as much or little support as you need (as an absolute beginner I needed plenty!) The course is suitable for all abilities, from complete novice to those with more experience in working with glass. I would definitely recommend it."

"A fantastic day, love all things glass, thought I would try to make something and hopefully learn a new skill in the process. The day is not disappoint, 3 of us on the course, all made to feel very welcome - chocolate cake as well! As described on the website, morning spent learning the 'technical bits & how to use the various tools safely', afternoon, the fun bit making our chosen piece. Will be going again! Looking forward to seeing the finished product once it comes out the kiln."
