I had such a lovely day with the small group of people and two friendly and approachable tutors, nothing was too much trouble for them and they listened to my ideas and told me how to achieve them. I'd highly recommend this course, I'd never worked with glass before so was a bit apprehensive but was soon put at ease by everyone. The homemade lunch was delicious too.
Thank you Sally. Your review is much appreciated. We’re so glad you enjoyed the day and the company. We hope you are able to come to collect your art work and see the things other people created over the weekend.
Many thanks to you, Jean and Janice for a fabulous experience at my first fused glass workshop. It was a treat for our friend Jane's 'special' birthday as you know, but we all had a super time. You were both very patient with us all, clear with your instructions and tuition and you never made us feel rushed. Although we were concentrating hard, ensuring we were taking everything in, the time just flew by, which is always a good sign that you are enjoying yourself. The lunch was delicious and we all went back for more!!
Thankfully we didn't have any breakages and we are all happy with our creations. Many thanks again Alison x
Thank you Alison, for this generous review. It was a pleasure to meet you all and help to celebrate Jane’s birthday.
I’m sorry I couldn’t be there when you collected your work, but we are both really pleased you enjoyed the day and are happy with your art work.
I had an amazing day with the two lovely ladies who teach this class. They were warm, welcoming, very clear, concise and very patient. The food they provided was fabulous. I am looking forward to attending another class.
Thank you for a lovely day x
Went back for my third session today and again absolutely loved it. Drinks and biscuits on arrival and chance for a quick chat with the group then on to the day's fun. After a cutting refresher making two snowflake hanging decorations, it was time to decide on the morning's project. Lots of helpful ideas and explanations on how to put my ideas onto paper to plan them tips along the way. Then a yummy homemade lunch then more time for another piece.
Again a great day with fabulous teachers and a lovely group. Everyone made such lovely pieces, I can’t wait for the updates on them going in the kilns. See you when we pick the finished creations up then booking next workshop.
Would recommend to anyone wanting to have a go. You will be amazed at what you can learn and create even on your first day. Thanks Janice and Jean and see you soon x
Well this was my first go at anything to do with glass and I loved it. Jean and Janice were brilliant, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and inspiring. Great teachers, patient and made me feel more and more confident over the day....so much so I’ve already booked my next day! Added to their obvious talents are cooking and baking....so lunch and cakes were lovely. Can’t wait to see the 6 ..yes 6..pieces I made! Thanks jj a brilliant day.
My mum & I attended this course as a Christmas present to each other. We had a wonderful day! Janice & Jean were so patient & everything was explained very clearly. There was ample opportunity to try different techniques & plenty of books & other sources of inspiration.
Oh & the food was delicious!
I would thoroughly recommend this course.
Another amazing class last week. Janice and Jean are wonderful teachers who have the ability to cater for different people with varying skill sets with ease. Great fun day. I even managed to incorporate some of my own personal craft stamps into my designs. Can't wait to see how they come out.
Would definitely recommend this class to anyone who is thinking about having a go. Already booked my next class and am already thinking about what I want to do.
A fabulous day practising skills learnt last time and plenty of encouragement to make pieces that I thought were above my skill level.
Good clear instructions, reminders when needed, lots of pieces around for inspiration and lunch in the garden. A perfect day of crafting.
Eagerly awaiting collection day and next course is already booked. Thanks Jean and Janice, I had a great day x
A very enjoyable day as a beginner. The time just flew by with Jean and Janice providing their expertise, help and guidance whilst letting the students do their own thing. Learned numerous techniques in the morning which you could put into practice with your own ideas in the afternoon.
Lunch in the garden was lovely.
Had a laugh trying to test the tin in the cupboard 😃.
Maximum of 8 on the course so the tutors can provide as much time as you need. Will be returning.
Many thanks for your review Linda. We’re pleased you enjoyed the day and the way we teach. It’s always good when the weather is nice enough for lunch in the garden. Time in the Harry Potter cupboard looking for the tin side can be a challenge 😂
Just arrived home after my second time with Jean and Janet. The tutors are both friendly and professional and have a wealth of knowledge, the teacher to student ratio is a maximum of 1:4 so there is always help available!
I learnt some skills in the morning and completed 4 coasters, each using a different method, and in the afternoon, I completed a fruit bowl and a wall plaque.
The lunch was superb !! A choice of 2 home made soups, with a choice of home made bread, and a selection of cakes.
I am looking forward to returning to pick up my pieces, and will definitely be booking to come again .
I recommend this workshop to everyone - you won’t be disappointed !
Thank you Julie for your kind review. It was good to see you again. We’re pleased you enjoyed your second visit and hope it helped to cement some of the techniques involved. We are always as excited as you to see the results of your labours.
My sister and I attended a class (our second, and definately not the last!) on Saturday. Once again completely enjoyed our day, started with a little refresher on what we were doing and then Jean & Janice encouraged our creative inner selves to shine thru! As always, they were very helpful and encouraging...and the homemade soup, bread and sweets were an additional bonus! Well done ladies! If you want a great day with excellent end result - sign up here!!
Thank you for this Kim. It was really nice to see you and your sister once again. You’re both so enthusiastic and receptive to the whole process, it makes our job much easier. I do hope you like your work. We look for ward to seeing you again in the future.
Yesterday was my 4th time on Jean and Janice’s course, always a lovely day. There are tons of resources to get your inspiration going, and the ladies have lots of advice and knowledge to help you, when they “say less is more”, they know what there talking about ( but there’s so many wonderful resources that you will want to put everything into your work).
This time we looked at some new techniques as they always try to teach you something new but you can always have refreshers on the basics or any techniques anytime. Jean and Janice always try to keep you learning new skills and try to help you create what you have in mind ( where feasible).
It’s always a warm friendly atmosphere, many attendees are repeat customers and everyone always make new comers and those attending on there own feel welcome. The lunch is always fantastic home cooking and baking, the part of the day where less is more and everyone gets to have a chat which is great with the small group numbers. I’m already planning my next trip.
Thank you Sarah for your glowing review! It was great to see you again. Thank you for being so open to learning new techniques and trying things out. Don’t forget to follow your work on the FaceBook page and/ or instagram. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
I attended this one day course today and was amazed at how much we achieved and how generous the tutors are with their time, expertise and materials. As a complete beginner I was taught 5 different techniques during the morning and was able to experiment with my own ideas during the afternoon. Jean and Janice were always ready to help and advise but were never intrusive and offered support whenever it was requested. I enjoyed the day so much (including the delicious home-made soda bread at lunchtime!) that I've already booked two more days....
Thanks for a fantastic experience. I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished pieces!
Thank you so much for this lovely review. We really appreciate it. It was a pleasure to meet you. You were so open and receptive to the materials and techniques which were all new to you. We look forward to seeing you when you collect your pieces of fused glass art and when you come back for your next workshop.
Have attended a few of these workshops now and really enjoyed every one of them. Jean and Janice are both great, always on hand to offer help, guidance and support. Days always fly by and great that still getting to learn new techniques. Lunch is always lovely. Looking forward to our next session.
Thank you Alison. It’s always a pleasure to see you and your variety of friends on the workshops. I hope you feel your work has improved over the period you’ve been attending the workshops - we certainly do!
We look forward to seeing you next year with yet more techniques to learn.
Would highly recommend this course. Janice and Jean are informative, helpful, encouraging and very knowledgeable. The day flew by and I was extremely pleased with the pieces I made. I was so impressed I have asked my children to book another course as a Birthday present. Foods really good too.
Thank you so much Debbie for taking the time to do this. It was really lovely to meet you and your enthusiasm!
We’re so pleased you enjoyed your first experience of fusing glass.
We look forward to your next visit.
Love my glass days, I get so much done with so much help and support.
Always a new tutorial in the morning so you continue to build extra skills and lots of time for own projects.
Never feel rushed and the material supplies seem endless.
What an amazing experience! I really enjoyed the one day course with Janice and Jean, and have come away with a huge number of ideas I would really like to try in the future. The course was very well organised and paced. Janice and Jean demonstrated different techniques very clearly and were on hand to explain and support our efforts throughout the day; guiding but also allowing exploration. I was able to make bigger pieces in the afternoon and try out another technique. A homemade lunch (soup, freshly baked bread and cakes) was a real bonus.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Margaret. It was a pleasure to meet you both. I’m so glad you enjoyed the way we teach - and our cooking! We look forward to you collecting your pieces of art, and your return for more exploration. Janice.
Attend this Worksop yesterday. Didn’t know what to expect but wow 😮 it was fantastic and I certainly got my husbands monies worth from my birthday voucher. Talented teachers, time well spent with the group and individually. Didn’t know I was so talented in making my glass pieces and I can’t wait to see the finishing pieces. I’m sure I’ll be back again next year. Oh, and home made soup and bread too. Thank you Jean and Janice.
Just spent another lovely day with the glass fusing ladies of Lytham. Such a great value for money course - i've made half a dozen or so unique pieces of art (so that's Christmas sorted!) and enjoyed a tasty lunch - what more could you ask for - marvellous!
