"Two of the most exciting, relaxing, inspiring, and supremely enjoyable days... ever! I learned so much. The process was a joy to undertake, particularly the stitching which was deeply absorbing. I think I would have to meditate for a year to feel so peaceful normally. And the end product? I still can't believe I made such a beautiful bag - it has even received compliments from strangers! Above all, the halloumi salad... if you have any doubts, let the lunch convince you."

"My daughter and I flew in from Italy for Jason's 1-day leather course and it was 100% worth the 1700km journey. Jason is a relaxed and skilled teacher who has a way of teaching you how to work with leather in such a fun and detailed manner. The day flew by and we left feeling like we are really learned the essential skills needed to work with leather. We'll definitely come back in the future to attend the 2-day course. "Brilliant, enjoyed every minute of it. I do a lot of craft work, sewing, upholstery and my hands are screwed on the right way round, but never worked in leather . Learnt such a lot. Jason was very good at explaining, easy pace but lots of information. It was a very intense 2 day course and I have come back home to denmark and started on small leather goods straight away. My friend (from UK) and I had a great girlfriend weekend. We stayed in a local airbnb and walked to and from the mill (12min) every day along the scenic canal path. Local cosy wine bar was a must on the way home too. We will definately be back to do another course at some time. Our bags are great and we have learnt new skills, met new people and had a great weekend together. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED."

Jason is a good teacher and has set up carefully designed projects that can be completed in the time available at a pace that allows for learning a variety different methods for cutting, sewing and finishing leather. The workshop also covers selecting materials and use of tools. Jason is also happy to work with you if you want to try alternative projects, and tailor lessons accordingly. The materials provided (leathers, finishes and fixings) are all top quality, so that at the end of the workshop, not only have you learnt a lot, you have a top quality leather bag to be proud of. "My Husband booked this course for our third wedding anniversary (leather). Jason was very accommodating and managed to fit us in for a one day course at very short notice. When we got there we were made to feel very welcome, Jason is a breath of fresh air, he is so passionate about what he does and his energy and enthusiasm is contagious. It was really fun learning about all the tools and processes used in making leather goods. I made my husband a card holder and he made a make up bag for me. We highly recommend the course for anyone who fancies making things out of leather or who just wants a fun day out."

"Great value for money. We were provided the time and the direction to be very hands on in a friendly atmosphere. Jason instructed us patiently through many skills. If I had one tiny criticism I felt that we needed to plan our time more effectively as we overran on the second day by over 2 hours and this was difficult to manage for a few people in the group as we had long journeys ahead of us. This being said I'd highly recommend the course and would look forward to signing up for another with Jason at Diamond Awl"

"With no previous experience or even any craft experience I signed up to the two day leather course. The courses are run by Jason, a very patient, friendly and cool guy, in his impressive workshop. The course is all hands on, so you'll be cutting, stitching and making your bag from the morning. By the end of the course you'll have your own bag, which you literally handmade - so you'll feel an absolute sense of accomplishment. Then you'll be hooked. While there are so many great things about this course, for me what I like is that you have a finished bag at the end, something tangible, something to carry with you to remind you what you can achieve.
